ADA Commercial Bathroom
Formerly a drab 1990’s commercial bathroom inside a 1926 Ice House, Era Built Construction Co. exposed, repaired and restored the original wood tongue and groove walls throughout what was once a meat locker. Ceramic subway tiles were added to the first 48 inches of all the walls to meet health code requirements and bring back a touch of history. Period fixtures were installed allowing for accessibility as was blocking for grab bars as required. For a touch of fun, the cold waterline was left exposed.
ADA Residential Bathroom
Designed to accommodate wheelchair access, Era Built Construction Co. added 36″ doorways throughout and built custom, roll under sinks in both of the homes bathrooms. Grab Bar blocking was installed on the first 48″ of all the bathroom walls to allow for additional customization depending on the need.
Historic Bathroom Remodel
Located in the upper apartment above a 1926 Ice House, brand new drain and water lines were installed and adorned with a custom mosaic tile floor and ceramic subway tiles. The original vintage sink was salvaged from a Restore and fitted with brand new valves and support legs.
Bathroom of the future
The original 1957 bathroom was in severe disrepair after a remodel somewhere in the 1980’s. Era Built Construction Co. removed all the damaged fixtures and restored the original plaster walls and ceiling. After replacing all the drain and water lines, new mid-century modern fixtures were installed including a shower wall system, shower pan, comfort height toilet, vanity and a futuristic body spray bar.

Remote Entry ADA Front Door
An Elk remote entry system was installed which allowed the front door to be unlocked with a key fob. It also had the ability to unlatch the door wirelessly.
ADA Condominium Entry
To allow for mobility device access, Era Built Construction Co. installed a new concrete driveway for Van parking and new stamped concrete pathway leading to the master bedroom and front entryway. The sliding and front doors was installed at grade with zero clearance to allow for frictionless entry.
ADA Residential Kitchen
Much consideration for accessibility went into this ADA kitchen. Era Built Construction Co. customized the sink and cooktop to allow for wheelchair access. The draw-style dishwasher allowed for easier use at a chair level. The wall oven was placed strategically for use without standing.
Custom Kitchen Cabinets & Countertop Height
All of the drawer base cabinets were customized to allow the countertop to be lowered for comfort. In consideration of those with visual impairments, a contrasting metal edging was added to aid in navigating the space.

Ryan Belshee, an Arizona-based General Contractor, embarked on his construction journey with hands-on experiences.
Initially, his undertaking involved assisting his Dad in constructing a massive deck at their family home in Beaverton, Oregon. From then on, Ryan’s love of construction took root, and at the age of 16, he embarked on an apprenticeship to learn the art of hanging drywall.
In 2001, after marrying his high school sweetheart, Melanie, Ryan’s construction skills took on a new purpose. United by a shared vision, the couple delved into renovating homes, sparking a remarkable 20-year journey. This marked the commencement of a transformative venture.
Over the years, Melanie and Ryan Belshee have devoted themselves to the meticulous renovation of six personal properties. Among these projects were the revitalization of a 1926 ice house in Downtown Buckeye, Arizona, and the restoration of two distinctive mid-century modern homes dating back to 1957 and 1966. Each property has acted as a canvas for the Belshees, allowing them to deepen their appreciation for the unique character of different eras and further refine their craftsmanship.
The culmination of their vast experience and dedication led to the founding of Era Built Construction Co. in 2023. Ryan and Melanie, armed with a wealth of knowledge and a passion for preserving historical integrity, translated their personal journey into a mission.
